The Montgomery Clean City Commission works to educate and motivate citizens of Montgomery to take action for a cleaner environment and a more attractive city.
The Montgomery Clean City Commission became a Keep America Beautiful Affiliate in October of 1976. The commission is an intergovernmental organization created for the purpose of improving the appearance of the City of Montgomery and increasing the pride of the residents.
The commission takes action through various projects and programs to enhance residential, public and commercial properties; to maintain rights-of-way and to educate citizens on solid waste issues. Our mission is for Montgomery to be a more attractive place to live, work, and visit.
The commission is led by a board of directors comprised of citizens from all of Montgomery's nine council districts. Board members are appointed and approved by the Montgomery City Council for two year terms.
